The tank is molded from BPA-free polycarbonate (PC), chosen for the combination personal care devices need most: high transparency so users can easily check the liquid inside, strong impact resistance for daily handling, and dimensional stability that keeps the tank sealing surfaces true over its service life. PC also withstands repeated contact with saline solution and cleaning, which makes it a dependable material for functional components in nasal irrigation equipment.
Material safety is treated as a documentation task, not a slogan. BPA-free resin certifications and lot-level traceability records are available per project, and for customers who position their device as a medical or wellness product, our ISO 13485 certified production system can be applied to the molding process.
Precision Design for Reliable Performance
Transparency is unforgiving: on a clear PC part, every flow mark, weld line, sink mark and gate trace is visible to the end user. The tank therefore demands more from the mold than an opaque housing of the same size — balanced gating, polished cavity steel and stable process windows are what keep the walls crystal clear shot after shot.
The structure itself is deceptively simple: an open cylindrical body, a central standpipe, a side channel and a leak-proof sealing rim. Each feature carries a job. The standpipe guides liquid flow away from the user, the side channel balances filling, and the sealing rim must stay dimensionally accurate so the tank mates with the device body without leakage. Fitting is verified against the actual mating parts, not just the drawings.
Custom Mold Development and Consistent Molding Quality
Behind the tank is a custom-built injection mold designed for transparent PC: high-polish cavities, carefully placed gates and cooling channels, and venting sized to avoid burn marks on visible surfaces. Our mold design team supports each project with a DFM review before steel is cut, and mold manufacturing happens in-house on more than 50 sets of machining equipment.
Once the sample is approved, process parameters are locked and monitored shot by shot. Each batch is checked for wall clarity, dimensional accuracy and assembly fit before shipment, so the tank that arrives with your device performs the same as the sample you approved.
From Molding to Clean Packaging
Because the tank is a visible component of a personal care device, handling after molding matters as much as molding itself. Parts move from the injection workshop through quality inspection to clean packaging, with protective packing that keeps the transparent walls scratch-free until they reach the assembly line.
Our workshop runs 36 single- and dual-color injection molding machines from 40 to 700 tons, so the process proven on samples carries directly into stable volume production — with the same material, the same mold and the same inspection criteria.
