This long black part is a bumper mount bracket — the structural link that carries the bumper fascia and, in an impact, decides how the load path enters the vehicle body. It is a curved beam with flanges along its length, bolt holes at the body side, and locating features at the bumper side. Nothing about it is cosmetic; everything about it is stiff, tough and positioned.
The bracket is integrally injection molded in a black impact-modified engineering resin. This page covers the load path, the flanges and holes, material choice, and what we need before quoting.

The bracket follows the bumper’s plan-view curve, and that curve is doing mechanical work: a straight bracket would hinge under a corner load, while the curved one distributes the same load along its length and keeps the fascia supported where the body panels meet. The section changes along the beam — deeper where the span is wide, ribbed where a bracket foot branches off — and the transitions are radiused rather than stepped, because a sharp section change on an impact part is where cracks start.
The flanges along both edges turn an open channel into a closed, torsion-stiff beam. That is what stops the bracket from twisting when one side of the bumper is pushed and the other is not.

The bolt holes at the body side have to land on the vehicle’s existing studs, and the slots at the bumper side have to accept clips or fasteners at the positions the fascia design gives. Both ends of that promise are set by other people’s drawings, so the hole pattern is held as a positional tolerance from one datum, and the bracket is checked on a fixture with the actual stud pattern before it is approved. A bracket that needs its holes re-drilled on the line is not a bracket, it is a rework item.
Washers load through reinforced lands around each hole — locally thicker material that keeps the bolt from pulling through under impact, without thickening the whole flange and inviting sink.

The material is an impact-modified polypropylene or a polyamide blend, chosen per the zone of the car. The requirement that dominates is ductility: in a low-speed strike the bracket is meant to bend and spring back, not shatter, because a shattered bracket turns a small hit into a bumper replacement. Stiffness is recovered through geometry — the channel section, the flanges, the rib feet — rather than through a brittle, glass-heavy compound. The trade is explicit and worth stating to customers: the resin gives way before the bumper does.
Parts are validated with a cold impact check, because toughness measured at room temperature flatters a compound that goes brittle at minus thirty.

Kunshan Maifeng Precision Industry Co., Ltd. molds structural brackets like this one in house, with fixture checks against real stud patterns and cold-impact validation, on machines from 90 to 700 tons with tooling built on site. Send us the two mating drawings, and we will come back with a section proposal and a quotation.
