A transparent structural ring has to do two things at once that usually pull against each other: carry load like a bracket and look invisible doing it. The ring shown here is a positioning part for an electric nasal irrigator, moulded in high-clarity resin as an oval frame with two rectangular buckle blocks formed at opposite sides, and it holds the device’s front assembly in register while staying clear enough that the user never notices it is there.
Five views show the ring flat and upright from several angles. Its cross-section varies around the loop, thick through the buckle blocks, thin across the spans, and managing that variation is what the part is about.

An oval frame is naturally stiffer about one axis than the other, which is useful for carrying load and troublesome for moulding. Cooling that favours one side of the loop pulls the ring out of plane, and an out-of-plane ring seats its buckles at slightly wrong angles, which shows up as a front assembly that sits a little off square. Balanced gating and cooling around the loop, and enough cooling time before ejection, are what keep the ring flat; the check is a surface-plate test on every lot.
Roundness and ovality of the opening matter for the same reason. The ring locates around a mating feature, and the opening is gauged against it rather than against a nominal dimension.

The two rectangular blocks at the sides carry the positioning function. Inside each is a buckle that clips onto the mating part, and around it the section thickens to take the clip load and to give the buckle arms somewhere to flex. On a clear part, that thickening has to be gradual: a step change in section shows as a sink shadow over the block, visible from the front, and the transitions are radiused so the section change disappears optically.
Buckle engagement is tuned with the mating part in hand. The blocks are the load path between the ring and the device, so their positions come from the assembly drawing and their retention is verified on assembled samples rather than measured in isolation.

Flatness on a surface plate, every lot. Opening ovality, gauged with the mating feature. Buckle positions and retention on assembled samples, checked for stress whitening. Optical quality under strong light against a master, and wall thickness sampled across the spans and blocks.
Kunshan Maifeng Precision Industry Co., Ltd. reviews transparent structural part designs before quoting, builds the injection molds in house, and molds single-color and dual-color parts on 36 machines from 90 to 700 tons. Send us the assembly drawing and the clarity specification, and we will come back with a feasibility comment and a tooling proposal.
